Kickstarter is annoying but like please please please help make this Bill Callahan doc happen.
PS We were thinking of starting a rumor that in certain locales they’re running advertisements for Bank of America set to the tune of Callahan’s “America!” If anyone has any advice on how to start rumors, let us know.

Trigger Finger
This is one of the very first Bonesetters’ songs. It appears as a B-side on our ep,Big Red Main which we recorded eeeeooonnnssss ago for our forth coming record, Savages, which you can donate to here. Trigger Finger Oh, I got wheat and I got rye We stormed the shore of Normandy Oh, and I’ve been a danger for a long time Much love to you and yours,
When I wrote it Bonesetters were supposed to be a one time gig at the Rick’s Theater in Greenfield, Indiana. So I hunkered down in my room, and wrote 8 songs for this performance which I thought would be the last time we’d ever play these songs. At the time, I was accompanied by Brent Sigler, Josh Ravega, and Tony Skagg (who kinda slipped out the door when we were loading in and was never really heard from again).
This song came about after thinking of a children’s rhyme or two, where there’s almost always a cautionary tale to be mentioned. I enjoy they playful bounciness of it, and kind of miss this song from our set. Every once and a bit I’ll play it solo, but that’s a rare occasion. You can go to our Bandcamp and hear it there along with some acoustic versions of tunes from the forthcoming record! Enjoy!
