BONESETTERS is the kind of band you could someday hear referred to as “indie darlings”. Twinkling guitars, sweetly soaring vocals matched with softly spoken miseries. Horns and strings even make their appearance on their debut album, “SAVAGES”, bringing to mind Conor Oberst’s more ambitious work or the Walkmen.
The whole album is beautifully recorded and brings to mind the hey day of the early ’00s, when Pitchfork still posted interesting music and not just rehashed electronic bullshit for the cokeheads to talk about.
Give BONESETTERS a chance, because I’d bet my money on a CMJ or SXSW appearance putting these Indiana kids on the map.
